First Day of Filming - 'Kiss Scene'

Today was our first full day of filming and as to be expected we learnt a lot about what worked best for us, what didn't work, and what we needed to change. The very first thing we did was take photos of every room and place that we were going to be recording in and we did this for continuity purposes.

We also took pictures of our cast in dress again for continuity purposes. Below are the images we took.

The first scene we decided to film was the argument/kiss scene. We decided on this because the actors felt a little 'awkward' about this scene so we thought it best to get it done and out of the way. We recorded the scene a few times to see which shots worked best and finally got the shot we needed, shown below.

We first filmed the kiss scene with the two actors miming an argument however when we watched the scene over, it didn't seem very realistic. As we had no set script we decided to allow them to improvise, and rather than actual arguing with each other, they shouted out names of fruit! As the sound would be cancelled out in the actual music video, and as long as it looked realistic we didn't mind and it was actually entertaining!
